The basics
What is Zap?
Zap is a caffeine chewing gum made in the EU. Each piece gives you a fast, clean energy boost — no sugar, no liquid, no can. It is energy you keep in your pocket.
How much caffeine is in one piece of Zap?
Each piece contains 60 mg of caffeine. One pack holds 14 pieces, so a single pack carries 840 mg of controlled, portable caffeine.
Is Zap sugar-free?
Yes. Zap is 100% sugar-free. It is sweetened with xylitol and has 0 kcal per piece.
What flavour does Zap come in?
Zap launches in one flavour to start: Ice Mint. More flavours are in development.
How it works & effect
How fast does Zap work?
Most people feel the effect in about 5 minutes. Caffeine is absorbed directly through the lining of your mouth, so it skips digestion and kicks in faster than coffee or energy drinks.
How long does the effect last?
Typically 3–4 hours, depending on your tolerance, sleep and activity — with a smoother lift and fewer crashes than sugary energy drinks.
Why is chewing caffeine faster than drinking coffee?
When you chew, caffeine diffuses through the soft tissue in your mouth. That route bypasses digestion and creates a noticeably faster, cleaner onset than coffee or energy drinks — without sugar spikes.
When should I use Zap?
Use it whenever you need quick focus or portable energy — study and exams, work and long projects, the gym, driving, travel or a late night out. Avoid late-evening use if caffeine affects your sleep.
Caffeine, dosage & safety
How many pieces can I have per day?
Start with one piece and wait a few minutes to feel the effect, then space servings across the day. As a general reference, healthy adults are advised to keep total daily caffeine around 400 mg — roughly 6 pieces. Always adjust to your own sensitivity.*
Who should not use Zap?
Zap is not recommended for children, people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or anyone who is sensitive to caffeine or has been advised by a healthcare professional to limit it.
Is caffeine chewing gum safe?
Zap is produced inside the European Union under strict food-safety regulations, with a controlled, measured 60 mg dose per piece. Used sensibly and within normal daily caffeine guidance, it is designed to be a clean, predictable way to get caffeine.*
Ingredients & health
What is in Zap?
The active ingredients are caffeine, xylitol (a sugar-free sweetener derived from European birch and beech), zinc, and B-vitamins (B6 and B12). All ingredients are GMO-free and non-irradiated.
Is Zap good or bad for my teeth?
Better than sugary energy products. Zap is sugar-free and sweetened with xylitol, which does not ferment like sugar. Chewing also boosts saliva, which helps neutralise acids and rinse the mouth. Unlike sugary drinks, Zap gives you energy without bathing your teeth in sugar or acid.
What do the zinc and B-vitamins do?
Zinc supports normal immune function and enamel health. B6 and B12 contribute to normal energy metabolism. These are EFSA-authorised health claims.
Zap vs coffee & energy drinks
How is Zap different from coffee and energy drinks?
Zap is faster, cleaner and easier to carry. Same caffeine, none of the sugar, liquid or waste.
| Zap gum | Coffee | Energy drink | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Onset | ~5 min | 25–30 min | 30–40 min |
| Sugar | None | None (black) | Often |
| Calories | 0 kcal | ~0 (black) | 100+ |
| Portability | Pocket-sized | Cup | Bulky can |
Is Zap cheaper than energy drinks?
Per dose, yes. One pack gives you multiple servings — many people pay about the price of a single energy drink but get several controlled caffeine doses instead.
How it is made
Where is Zap made?
Zap is manufactured inside the European Union at facilities specialised in functional chewing gum. They follow EU food law, run HACCP and GMP controls, undergo regular audits, and keep full batch traceability from raw material to finished gum.
Where do the ingredients come from?
We prioritise EU and EEA suppliers. Caffeine is food/pharma-grade from EU-approved suppliers, xylitol is derived from European birch and beech, and zinc and B-vitamins are manufactured within the EU. Every ingredient batch comes with a Certificate of Analysis documenting origin and purity.
Is Zap environmentally friendly?
Zap ships in lightweight pouches, needs no refrigeration and packs compactly — a far smaller transport footprint than chilled or canned energy products. We source regionally to cut transport emissions and are testing next-generation recyclable and bio-based films with EU producers.

About Zap
Who is behind Zap?
Zap is created by us — Folke and Felix, two Swedish brothers who wanted a smarter, cleaner way to get energy during school, work and training. We design everything ourselves and manufacture only with trusted EU partners.
Why caffeine gum?
Energy already existed — the format did not. Gum lets us deliver focus without sugar, liquid or waste: a little, exactly when you need it, with nothing to carry, finish or throw away.
